Darren K. Proulx, CEO of Land Resource Investments was a small land-owner making payments on a dusty, two-and-a-half-acre parcel in the desert when he met an older, seasoned real estate agent and developer, Richard “Dick” Ramsey. Ramsey taught Proulx how to perform proper due diligence when looking for land in the path of growth. This knowledge led to the formation of Land Resource Investments.
In 1999, the California Department of Real Estate issued a Public Report for this ownership program that allows individuals to use group buying power to purchase pre-development land. Each owner receives title to his or her real estate in the form of a Grant Deed and Irrevocable Power of Attorney which is insured by a policy of title insurance. Each owner can sell, transfer, gift, or will that property at any time. Today, Land Resource Investments has more than 1,300 LandBank owners and continues to search for the best real estate opportunities.
Individuals can participate in Land Resource Investments’ projects that would normally be out of the reach of all but the largest companies or wealthy individuals through group purchasing power. Land Resource Investments also offers financing and can facilitate the purchase as a retirement vehicle using your IRA or 401K Rollover. All Land Resource Investments products are 1031 qualified.
